The International Factoring Association's (IFA) goal is to assist the Factoring community by providing information, training, purchasing power and a resource for the Factoring community.

Advisory Board The IFA Advisory Board members serve a two-year term and assist the IFA in broadening the public understanding of the uses and benefits of factoring and help to both design training programs and foster new ideas to benefit its member organizations.

Eric Belk - Match Factors, Inc. - Florence, SC
Eric is the Vice President of Match Factors, Inc, a transportation factoring company in Florence, SC, that specializes in providing simple factoring solutions to small and medium-sized trucking firms. In addition to leading Match Factors, Eric also manages its affiliated companies – The Match Maker Inc., Logistec/TTS Resident Agents Service, Inc., and Truck Insurance, Inc. A Certified Account Executive in Factoring (CAEF) and a Certified Transportation Broker (CTB), Eric has over 20 years of industry experience. He received his MBA from the University of South Carolina in 2001, and currently serves as Professor of Business at Francis Marion University, where he has taught since 2003. In addition, Eric previously assisted aspiring entrepreneurs as a consultant with the Small Business Development Center. A hometown product, Eric remains actively involved in promoting the area and small business in the greater Florence community. He was a founding member of the Young Professionals of Florence, a civic organization committed to developing professional networking opportunities and supporting business growth, and has served in various leadership positions on the organization’s board since its inception.

Melissa Donald - LDI Growth Partners, LLC - Walnut Creek, CA
Melissa began her career working in and then managing a small commercial collection agency in the San Francisco Bay Area. During her time there, she worked in every area of the business from direct collections to litigation management. In 2001, she took a job with a young factoring company in Walnut Creek, California.  She quickly moved from a Senior Account Executive, to Operations Manager and Vice President. In 2007, she and her partner launched LDI Growth Partners, a small factoring firm and focused her efforts  in educating entrepreneurs about the benefits of factoring at a grassroots level.  The result is that LDI does business only by personal referral, and works primarily with business owners with under $2M in annual sales. Melissa is currently the President of the Board of Directors for Community Violence Solutions, the umbrella organization for the rape crisis center, anti-human trafficking and other  programs to end sexual assault and family violence.  CVS serves Contra Costa and Marin counties. In her spare time, she is heavily involved in dog rescue; fostering, raising, training and rehabbing large breed working dogs. She lives in Antioch, California with her 4-legged companion, Acheron, a Cane Corso mastiff.

Kee Kim – Finance One, Inc. - Los Angeles, CA
Kee is president & CEO of Finance One, Inc., a factoring company that he founded in 1998 in Los Angeles, California.  Providing comprehensive account-receivable-management-services, Finance One maintains three offices: Los Angeles and New York in the United States and Shanghai in China.  Its factoring volume was $700 million in 2014.  Finance One has been a member of International Factoring Association since 1998 and Commercial Finance Association since 2005. Prior to Finance One, Kee held a various positions in credit, business development and management in commercial banks in New York and Los Angeles for 15 years.  Born in South Korea in 1959, he came to America in 1976 at the age of 16.  He is a graduate of Princeton University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics.  He is married with four children -- three sons and a step-daughter – all of whom are away from home for school or work.  His current household members include his wife, Mia, and two Yorkshire Terriers.  He enjoys food, ballroom dance, travel, and golf.

John Martin - General Electric Company - Atlanta, GA
With over 19 years as a practicing attorney, member of the Louisiana State Bar, and the last 12+ years as in-house counsel for General Electric Company, John serves as Executive Counsel - Finance overseeing the GE Global Monetization Centre of Excellence and serves as the leader of the GE Industrial AR Factoring Counsel. John’s areas of expertise concern International law and commercial finance - concentrating in the global transfer of trade receivables, securitization, capital market syndication, and leasing. John holds a BA in Political Science and a MBA from Louisiana State University, a JD from Southern University, and is an active volunteer in Junior Achievement U.S.A., Street Law Inc., Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta, and youth baseball. Married to Deborah Martin and father of 3 children, John and family currently live in Atlanta, Georgia. 

Fred Moss - Accord Financial Corp. - Montréal, QC, CANADA
Fred brings a wealth of experience and expertise in all aspects of the finance industry to his role as president of Accord’s Montreal-based subsidiary. Formerly president of CAFCO, he went on to found Montcap Financial Corp in 1990. Under his careful leadership, the factoring company grew substantially and was subsequently sold to Accord Financial in 1992. Today, the subsidiary is a Canadian leader in non-traditional financing, providing flexible asset based loans, factoring and purchase order financing to small- and medium-sized enterprises. Fred holds a BComm from McGill University and is a member of the Quebec Chartered Professional Accountants Order since 1965.

Paul Schuldiner - Rosenthal & Rosenthal - New York, NY
Paul is Senior Vice President at Rosenthal & Rosenthal, a commercial finance company specializing in factoring and asset based lending. Paul leads the firm’s newest division, Rosenthal Trade Capital, and is responsible for driving the overall business strategy for Rosenthal’s purchase order financing and alternative inventory financing solutions. He is a seasoned financial executive with over 20 years of experience in the purchase order and trade finance business and has previously held senior leadership roles at King Trade Capital, Wells Fargo Capital Finance and as a principal of Transcap Associates. In addition to purchase order financing, Paul started his career in the asset-based lending division of a NYC based finance company and practiced as CPA. Paul has been featured in Women’s Wear Daily, Entrepreneur, TIME, Forbes and Bobbin Magazine and has authored articles for The Commercial Factor, The Secured Lender and ABF Journal. He is currently the President of the IFA’s Northeast Chapter, the Chair of the New Jersey State Society of CPA’s Cooperation with Bankers committee, and on the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Chapter of the Commercial Finance Association and the New Jersey Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association.Paul received his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Queens College, City University of New York.

Nel Somarriba - New Century Financial - The Woodlands, TX
Nel is the President of New Century Financial in The Woodlands, Texas. New Century Financial was founded in 1985 as a commercial financial company that specialized in factoring. Nel joined in 2004 and has been instrumental in leading the company, increasing revenues through online advertising and consolidating process and procedures. She moved to the United States from Nicaragua with full merit and academic scholarships from the Organization of American States and Walmart for both her MBA in Finance from La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA and BS in Marketing and International Business from Harding University in Arkansas. She began her career with United Airlines (Continental) in marketing and sales and subsequently joined Citigroup to pursue her finance career. Nel moved to Texas in 2004 after living in the Northeast for five years and joined NCF. Her varied experience is invaluable in managing and improving the day-to-day operations as well as facilitating the growth of the organization.
 

Kevin Wood – Chesapeake Bank - Cash Flow Division - Gloucester, VA
Kevin serves as Managing Director and Senior Vice President of Chesapeake Bank’s Cash Flow Division offering factoring and Asset Based Lending to clients with sales up to $50 million and located in Gloucester, VA. Kevin graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Finance and has a graduate degree in Banking from Louisiana State University. Starting his career in accounting out of college and moving to corporate sales with a large national company, he combined both skill sets to move into the Commercial Finance industry in 1997. Working in sales and underwriting with Chesapeake Bank, he took over managing the division in 2012 as Managing Director. Married for 24 years and the father of three children, Kevin is active in his church, local non-profits and community sports.
