Beginning in 2008, the IFA commissioned John Landon to create a painting that depicts the location of the annual conference. The reason for the initial commission was that the 2008 conference was held in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina. We felt that a painting was the most appropriate way to depict and honor the city.
Information about John Landon can be found at www.johnlandongallery.com. Unfortunately, John passed away in 2018, but Mark Goldberg has picked up the hefty responsibility of carrying the tradition to capture these conferences artistically as John once did.
